Sotera Health, a global provider of mission-critical sterilization and lab-testing and advisory services, has acquired Montana-based BioScience Laboratories, a leader in topical antimicrobial product testing in the consumer, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. This acquisition expands the US-based antimicrobial and antiviral testing capabilities of Sotera Health’s Nelson Labs business.
 
Headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, BioScience Laboratories has a reputation for customer service, research, innovation, and quality control. They are recognized for their analytical testing and clinical trial services for manufacturers of consumer products, healthcare products, pharmaceuticals, and more. Founded in 1991, the company operates a 22,000 square foot laboratory in Bozeman which includes a new Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) Virology lab.

BioScience Laboratories will complement Sotera Health’s Nelson Labs business based in Salt Lake City, UT. Their antimicrobial and virology testing capabilities will enhance Nelson Labs existing strengths in microbiological lab testing, analytical chemistry, and expert advisory services. BioScience Laboratories’ facilities are FDA registered and ISO 17025 accredited.
