Personnel and product news were predominant pageview producers this past week on ODT’s website.

Stryker captured the most reader attention with the addition of two new products to its Foot & Ankle portfolio: the Osteotomy Truss System (OTS) and Ankle Truss System (ATS). The products were recently acquired from 4WEB Medical. The ATS includes Arthrosphere and Arthrocube implants. It’s designed to restore limb length while providing structural integrity for the limb during tibiotalocalcaneal (TTC) fusions. The ATS implants feature Truss Implant Technology, an open architecture designed for structural support and promotion of fusion. The Osteotomy Truss System is made up of Cotton, Evans, and Utility wedges. It’s indicated for internal bone fixation and osteotomies in the foot and ankle.

Smith+Nephew followed suit with the launch of its TOTAL ANKLE patient-matched guides, used to help plan and perform total ankle replacement (TAR) procedures. Engineered using 3D Systems’ VSP surgical planning workflows, the guides were designed for a precise patient fit using fluoroscopic alignment cues and efficient instrumentation. The integrated fluoroscopic cues, guide pins, and cut slot make the guide an all-in-one instrument. The guide also provides tactile feedback with medial arm wrap.

Traffic-driving personnel news came from Breg and Enovis. Breg enticed digital visitors to the site with its executive leadership changes. Board Chairman Dave Mowry, who became interim CEO in May, has now permanently landed the job. He will continue in his chairman role; other management changes include Matt Simons’ appointment as chief financial officer and industry veteran Steve Ingel’s selection as executive vice president and chief commercial officer. Simons has more than 25 years of strategic financial leadership experience and specific sector experience, while Ingel has been working in the orthopedic bracing/support industry for over three decades.

Enovis Corporation also garnered significant reader interest by revamping its executive management circle. The company appointed Tim Czartoski as president of U.S. Surgical and Global Product and Enabling Technologies, overseeing Enovis’s U.S. Surgical business, including the global surgical product engine and enabling technologies. He reports to Louie Vogt, group president of Enovis’ Reconstructive (Recon) Business Group.

Catalyst OrthoScience managed to land in the top five this week with non-personnel/product-related news. The firm announced that it topped 10,000 total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) procedures and also closed $20 million in equity and venture debt financing with funding partners RC Capital, Mutual Capital Partners and Bridge Bank.
