Frank D. Noone has joined New Bedford, Mass.-based Five Star Companies as vice president of advanced surgical sales. Most recently, Noone was director of sales and marketing for Triangle Manufacturing Co. Inc. “We are excited to have Frank join us, as he is a proven performer in the medical contract manufacturing space with a solid reputation in our industry for integrity and hard work,” said John Camara, president of Five Star Surgical. Noone has spent 20 years in sales leadership roles in the medical device and technology industries. Prior to joining Triangle, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Pro-Dex Inc., a publicly traded Irvine, Calif.-based company that designs, develops and manufactures powered surgical devices for medical device OEMs. Prior to his roles at Pro-Dex and Triangle, Noone served as vice president of instrument sales at Symmetry Medical Inc., a provider of orthopedic implants, surgical instruments and sterilization cases and trays to medical device OEMs. Noone led the company’s strategic sales growth in endoscopic instruments, spine, sterile packaging solutions and professional services. Noone also served as manager of new business development at STD Med Inc., a Massachusetts-based medical device contract manufacturer. He earned his MBA in 2002 with a focus on international business at Anna Maria College and a master’s degree in criminal justice—also from Anna Maria College—in 1988, and holds a B.A. in psychology from Stonehill College “Five Star is positioned for growth and adding Frank as a key part of our already strong management team will help us to develop a long term growth plan into spine, trauma and sports medicine,” said David Cabral, president of Five Star Manufacturing. “Frank will be part of our new leadership initiative that will grow both branches of our company and strengthen our strategic partnerships and customer focus.” Five Star Surgical and Five Star Manufacturing are part of the Five Star Companies group, which provides manufacturing capabilities for orthopedic OEMs, as well as instrument maintenance, repair and support services to hospital organizations and surgeons.
