Ortho Development, an orthopedic device manufacturer, has made changes to its executive team, appointing new hires to the roles of CEO and president.

Hiroyuki Minamiya was named CEO, joining Ortho Development from its parent company Japan MDM. Greg Larson was promoted to president, bringing 25 years of experience with the company.

Minamiya touts over 30 years of leadership experience spanning the medical device, electronics, and imaging industries. Before joining Ortho Development, he was in executive positions at Sony Corporation and Sony Olympus Medical Solutions, where he led global sales, marketing, and product strategy for surgical imaging and integrated operating room systems.

“I am deeply honored to lead Ortho Development at a time when the company is growing and evolving,” said Minamiya. “This team has built a strong reputation by staying focused on both its mission and its people, and I’m excited to help build on that foundation. I’m looking forward to continuing what’s working and exploring new ways to move the company forward.”

Larson was most recently Ortho Development’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and played a crucial roles in driving the company’s strategy and growth over the past two decades. The company said his leadership has been instrumental in strengthening operations, guiding financial performance and advancing key initiatives across the business.

The company designs, manufactures, and distributes orthopedic implants and related surgical instruments. The company’s main focus is total knee and hip joint replacement.
