2025 started off strong with M&A activity and business deals in the orthopedic industry. A large-scale merger happened between Tyber Medical, Intech, and Resolve Surgical Technologies as they combined as one entity. Together they will offer a mix of proprietary market-cleared technologies, and development and manufacturing scale.

Fusion Orthopedics acquired Metalogix, a maker of external fixation systems. The deal is nearly complete and includes Metalogix’s operations, distribution, and hospital accounts. Plus, Stryker sold its spine implant system to a family-owned investment firm, Viscogliosi Brothers.

Stryker’s CFO, Glenn S, Boehnlein announced that he will retire as VP and CFO of Stryker after a 22-year career at the company. On April 1, Preston Wells, who is currently group CFO of Stryker’s Orthopaedics Group, will assume Boehnlein’s position.

Enovis has appointed Davide Visentin to replace Dr. Benjamin Reinmann as president of Enovis International Surgical, effective March 1. A reason for the personnel change was not specified.
